Data log and Quality Assurance

DATALOGGING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

Omron Scada Report Package (Gen 4)

Like other solar kilns available today, our successful early model kiln technology suffered from lack of process data and records so that operators had little knowledge as to why their drying outcomes varied substantially. In most cases, this was because the kilns lacked sophisticated automated control; in others the problem was simply weather-related variables within a poorly monitored drying cycle and schedule.

Our gen-4 data logger reporting software is based on Omron Scada software. It is a virtual laboratory available at every kiln site. The system routinely logs and stores daily files for every kiln including all process, kiln and ambient condition details to enable process optimization and the generation of QC records.

Right: Graphs of optionally selected data are immediately available at the click of a mouse. They may be scrolled backwards and forwards to identify developing trends, as a means of Quality reporting or as a means of optimizing your local process. Most importantly, the information allows us to deliver quality service backup and to assist new operations achieve the best out of their outstanding kiln technology from the first day they are commissioned.

This Gen-4 feature also facilitates Solar Kilns capacity to deliver offline control and technical support to operations that enjoy our technology and service.

Pro-kilns are fitted with optional memory-stick data access for regular downloads of kiln and climate date to excel spreadsheets for general records and analysis purposes.

Online Alarms and Control

An integrated modem allows for the control of software downloads and upgrades, maintenance, trouble shooting, offsite control and functionality monitoring. Pro-kiln specification kilns have a range of functions that are standard in gen-4 kilns optionally available.
