The table below highlights the physical load capacity in cubic metres per metre of physical kiln length for each kiln-arch type.

The table below highlights the physical load capacity in board feet per linear foot of physical kiln length for each kiln-arch type.  

Notes:

• Significant shrinkage and over-sawn dimensions equivalent to approximately 18% of the tallied/rated volume are excluded from tallies.
  • If you tally timber at its actual size, then add 18% to the above tabled volumes
• Capacity tables above allow for 7% deduction in maximum theoretical capacity for short lumber within the kiln stacks.
  • If you stack and dry set length lumber in stacks that make up the full kiln length, then allow an extra 7% capacity.
